We have been taking cottage holidays in the UK pretty much every year for the past 28 years. We have stayed in some very nice places but The Warren is undoubtedly the best. The cottage is spacious and comfy but it’s the welcome and hospitality you receive from Amanda and Roy and the surroundings that make it outstanding. Huge expanses of open sky. We were greeted with home-baked scones and a dozen eggs from the hens. The hens are round your feet in the garden and the sheep, kid-goats and geese (penned up!) are just a stone’s throw away. We were lucky that it was harvest time because Roy offered to take me out on the combine harvester which was brilliant. It is extremely quiet (owls hooting through the night) and there’s no light pollution so if you get up in the night for a pee, it’s very dark! We are early-risers but if you’re not, take earplugs because the cockerel and the sheep will wake you up!

Lovely cottage in a rural location on a working farm (but near the road). Owners couldn't have been more helpful. Easy driving distance to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick etc. Large supermarket a short drive away. Friendly Chickens to feed, also saw wild Deer & foals in the adjoining field. No pets as its a working farm with Sheep, Geese etc.

This is a lovely cottage and an ideal base for Warwick and the Cotswolds. It was easy to get to from the motorway but in a very quiet a peaceful area of countryside. A very warm welcome from Amanda and Roy who were very helpful with any information. The cottage is well equipped and we really did not need to bring anything with us. The fresh eggs and cake were also very much enjoyed. The cottage is a good size with plenty of room for a family of 4. The children loved feeding the new born lambs and it was very relaxing looking out at the lambs in the field right next to the cottage. Lovely garden big enough for the children to run around in. Despite the peaceful location it was only a short journey to local attractions such as Warwick castle and the British Motor Museum. The Antelope Inn nearby was good for meals. It is close to the Cotswolds and easy to get around there. An ideal base for the area and friendly owners. If we come back to the area we would definitely consider staying there again

Beautiful cottage on a farm. We are a family of four and the kids loved feeding the chickens and the geese. They had lovely space to play rugby outside. Very quiet and peaceful which was exactly what we were looking for. Very close to Stratford and Warwick. Straight forward to find. Owners were wonderful and could not do enough for you. Particularly loved the fireplace. A novelty for us to have a real fire! Place was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Well equipped kitchen and we were left a lovely hamper of Christmas goodies on arrival. Will definitely be returning.

Our second visit and once again a very warm welcome from Amanda and Roy and a delicious welcome pack of milk, home-made cake and eggs, freshly laid by Hill Farm hens. This comfortable, well-equipped and generously provisioned cottage is the perfect home-from-home for exploring this lovely part of the country. Another superb week, thank you Amanda and Roy!

A lovely welcome was given to us by Amanda and Roy to their delightful cottage, set in beautiful countryside. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, with cake, fresh eggs and milk on arrival. We particularly appreciated that there were dishwasher tablets, extra toilet rolls and hand wash, which is not always provided at other holiday lets but makes all the difference. The cottage is close to many N.T. properties, Warwick and Stratford upon Avon, so many places within easy reach. After a day exploring it was lovely to return to the tranquillity of the cottage to watch the lambs playing and the chickens, not forgetting the lovely sheep dog with her mischievous puppies. We look forward to returning in the future.

Amazing short weekend break. We simply loved being there during lambing time and Amanda and Roy were perfect hosts. Full of exuberance, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Their friendly greeting put us at ease immediately. On entering the cottage we found milk, fresh hens eggs and an amazing victoria sandwich cake waiting for us. All of which were very welcome. The wood burner was wonderful during the snowy weekend. Amanda and Roy took the trouble, at what is a very busy time for them, to show us the new born lambs, explaining a little about what is involved which was very interesting. Our son fed the sheep and also had the privileged of seeing the new born puppies. We saw woodpeckers, wagtails, deer in the pasture. Wildlife was plentiful. The Warren is an ideal base from which to explore Warwickshire. We found it a perfect place and wouldn't hesitate recommending the Warren. We hope to be back as soon as possible. Simply a lovely weekend break.

We stayed for three nights to attend a wedding in the village of Wasperton. It snowed heavily overnight and our daughter had to return to Edinburgh after the second night. The family arranged a lift to the village of Wellesbourne for her to get a taxi to the station and helped us dig out the car we were in on the following morning ! We were very comfortable and the welcome pack was much appreciated

This was a lovely, clean and well equipped cottage and we received a very warm welcome. We really enjoyed everything: the beautiful, peaceful setting; the tasty, generous welcome pack, especially the delicious fresh farm eggs; the company of the farm animals, especially regular visits by the hens; and conversations with the friendly owners about the animals and local places of interest. The cottage and its location were significant factors in what was a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and we definitely intend to return.

This is an idyllic tranquil retreat. We sat on the patio watching a grazing herd of wild deer, listening to the birds and enjoying the perfume of the wisteria which was in full bloom. A sublime experience. Amanda and Rob are congenial hosts and their welcome pack was appreciated. Would recommend visits to the nearby Cotswold towns of Stow, Broadway, Chipping Campden and the Slaughters. Stratford and Warwick are nearby and within a mile from the cottage is the art gallery of Compton Verney, worth a visit if only to appreciate the beautiful landscaped grounds by Capability Brown but there is much more. The nearby village of Wellesbourne has a small coop supermarket and just on the outskirts there is a large Sainsbury supermarket. Enjoyed the log burner on a chilly evening.

We received a Wonderful welcome from Amanda & Roy the owners of the cottage, with eggs and a lovely freshly baked cake awaiting our arrival. The cottage was perfect with everything that we needed for a perfect stay. The views were amazing and the location perfect for Warwick, Stratford, the cotswolds and many National Trust properties. Chickens were roaming free and geese and sheep were in the fields next to us. I really can't recommend this cottage and the friendliness of the owners enough, a ten star plus holiday. Returning again is a must. Thank you.

We has a wonderful stay at The Warren, Hill Farm and would not hesitate to recommend it. We visited Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. Mr and Mrs Baylis made us very welcome and the farm, with its chickens, lambs and geese made a memorable back drop for our cultural adventures.”

Amanda made us feel really welcome and, as it was Christmas week, she had decorated the house beautifully. To have a real tree, gorgeous foliage, decorations and a Christmas cake waiting made it so festive. The fire was amazing and it was frosty and cold when we stayed so we could curl up by the fire as a family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Very comfortable and very well equipped cottage with plenty of room. Lovely quiet location with farm animals nearby, loved the little roosters running round the doorway. Hosts very friendly and helpful, the chocolate brownies were delicious and the farm eggs most welcome. Lots of things to see and do in the area and we still have lots of things to go back and see and will definitely re-book The Warren when we do so.

The Warren was a perfect home from home. We received a warm welcome from Amanda and Roy (and also soon made friends with the hens, but not the geese!). The cottage was very comfortable, well furnished and cared for and became a perfect base for the holiday. Our children loved feeding the hens and watching the animals, particularly the antics between Tan the dog and the flock of geese as they were put away each night and we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the evenings. We would stay again without a doubt.

We had a very friendly welcome with delicious brownies and a big smile. The cottage was great, well equipt and very pleasant to stay in. From the garden a nice view over the hills and with some luck a good look unto the deers. But, even when the deer won't show themselves, you can't escape the chickens strolling around.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Warren as did our little toddler whose face lit up every time he looked out the window and saw the sheep, lambs and chickens. It was a lovely setting for a family holiday in a beautiful well equipped cottage and wonderful hosts in Amanda and Roy. Situated very close to both Warwick and Stratford there was plenty to see and do and lots of attractions to visit. We particularly enjoyed Hatton Country World equally we loved a quiet day spent at the cottage and our little boy loved wandering round the garden to see all the farm animals and particularly loved seeing the tractors go by. The cosy cottage was perfect for relaxing in the evening with a roaring log fire. We were very sad to leave and have created some wonderful memories. We would not hesitate to recommend.

cellent cottage. We had a wonderful few days, helped by glorious weather! My 2 girls (ages 4 and 16 months) loved being on a farm and seeing the lambs, chickens and geese. The cottage itself was great and very well set up, and the owners friendly and helpful. A good base to explore with plenty of places to keep small kids amused- we visited Stratford (inc butterfly farm) Leamington, Warwick Castle and 2 National Trust properties. Also found a good playpark and kids funfair on the edge of Warwick. Highly recommend this cottage!.

Our third visit and we will be back. This is a warm comfortable cottage in an area where there is a lot to see and do whatever the weather. The Warren is also cosy and peaceful enough just to stay in and relax. Sadly - and for family reasons - we had to cut our visit short but will look to book again sometime!

We had a fantastic stay at the Warren. The owners were friendly and helpful and went to extra lengths to make our young son's farm stay really enjoyable. The cottage was very peaceful, had great views, had everything we could think of and was very comfortable. It is a great location and very accessible for local towns, tourist attractions, walks along the canal, etc. Our only reservation about leaving such a positive review is that the cottage might be all booked up when we want to return!
